Oregon City Council Approves Garbage Contract

At Tuesday's Oregon City Council meeting, garbage was high on the list of things to do for the agenda.

The City Council voted unanimously to approve a new garbage contract for city residents with Moring Disposal.

Representatives from Moring were at the meeting to answer any questions from the Council, including when service will start and when delivery of the new garbage and recycling totes can be expected.

Dennis Pate, general manager of Moring, said the contract will go into effect December 1st and delivery of the 95 gallon garbage and recycling cans will take place the week before.

Pate also added that if any residents want the smaller garbage and recycling cans, they can arrange those, and other possible accommodations, with City Hall.
