UPDATE: 17 Year Old Sustains Life Threatening Injuries After Hit By Semi

Shortly after 1:30 Saturday morning Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies, along with the Oregon Police Department and Ambulance, responded to the 2600 block of W. Pines Rd for a report of a semi vs pedestrian accident.

The pedestrian, a 17 year old male, was transported to Rockford for life threatening injuries. The drive of the semi, 21 year old Dakota Snyder of Mt. Morris was taken to KSB. Ogle County Authorities say the 17 year old passed away from his injuries at Rockford Memorial Hospital. The name of the teen has not been released at this time.

The accident remains under investigation.
