It was a scorching weekend with temperatures reaching into the 80’s in some places.
In spite of the heat, Amboy Depot Days on Sunday was packed with visitors of all ages. Organizers said the heat did not seem to bother those who came to the event. It also did not seem to slow down ticket sales for the 50/50 raffle.
The Depot Days 50/50 is one of the top attractions in the Sauk Valley every year. Here, one lucky person may be going home with thousands of dollars. The other half of the ticket sales goes to assist local charities and organizations.
Another big draw is the annual car show. Here cars, hot rods, street rods and motorcycles from across the country are on display. Some of the car enthusiasts may also go home with a trophy or two, or more.
