Whiteside County Sheriff Says an ATV Driver was Taken to a Trauma Unit Following Roll-Over Crash

On Saturday evening, June 14, the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a four-wheeler crash at the intersection of Agnew Road and Mathew Road.

The investigation revealed 39-year-old Danille L Haeffner, of Sterling was traveling southbound on Agnew Road and attempted to turn westbound on Mathew Road. She lost control, left the roadway, crashed through a barbed wire fence and rolled the four-wheeler an unknown number of times.

Haeffner was charged with Improper Operation of an ATV, Improper Lane Usage and Driving under the Influence of Alcohol.

Haeffner was transported to CGH and then to a trauma unit for treatment of her injuries. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by CGH ambulance and Sterling Fire Department.
