On Wednesday at about 10:00 AM, Oregon Police responded to a call of a vehicle vs pedestrian accident at the intersection of 4th Street and Washington Street.
Authorities say Nancy Swieter of Oregon was turning east onto West Washington Street. This is when Gary Mead of Oregon was struck in the crosswalk.
Mead was transported to OSF Saint Katherine Medical Center in Dixon for treatment of minor injuries. Swieter was charged with Failure to Yield the Right Of Way to a Pedestrian in the Crosswalk.
