On Thursday morning, July 17, Ogle County Deputies responded to the intersection of US Highway 52 and Freeport Road for a two-vehicle accident with injuries.
After an investigation, it was determined that a Ford Focus, operated by 29-year-old Kimberly P. Kreeger of Freeport was traveling southbound on Freeport Road, crossing the intersection. The Ford disobeyed the stop sign and struck a grain trailer that was being pulled by a International truck tractor.
The operator of the International was uninjured. Kreeger was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Kreeger was cited for disobeying a stop sign. Polo Fire and EMS assisted deputies at the scene.
