A while ago, it was announced that a Loves Travel Plaza would be coming to Rock Falls. Many people expressed their pleasure and support for the project. However, work on the site has not begun yet.
During the recent Rock Falls City Council meeting, City Administrator Robbin Blackert said they are at the mercy of getting the permits from IDOT. She still has hopes the work would begin soon.
In other news, Blackert said they do have a list of streets in Rock Falls they plan to work on. She stated the city would put out the list of the streets scheduled for work on their website and on their Facebook Page.
Blackert also said she knows people are tired of Avenue A being closed again. She hopes that would be opened soon.
