During the early morning hours of Sunday, July 27, Ogle County Deputies were advised of a possible intoxicated driver traveling southbound in the area of N. Stillman Rd that had struck a parked trailer. Deputies located the vehicle shortly after, and conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of E IL RTE 64 and S. Daysville Rd.
After an investigation, 19-year-old Joel Sanchez Jr. of Lost Nation was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Sanchez was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released on a notice to appear.
Sanchez was additionally cited for failure to report an accident, leaving the scene, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol.
