Last week was the Lee County Fair and 4H Show.  Starting Wednesday, July 30 thru Sunday, August 3 will be the Ogle County Fair.

Beginning Wednesday and last through to Sunday, there is something for everyone.  For Wednesday and Thursday there will be dog show, chainsaw carver, an antique track show and the Queen contest.  Brenda Holm, Secretary of the Ogle County Fair  said the 4H would be showing their animals and projects all through the fair.  Holm says the fair is not possible without all of the volunteers.

The grandstand show on Wednesday and Thursday is the Tractor Pull.  The show on Friday is the Rodeo and Saturday will feature the most popular show in the grandstand, the demo derby.  Holm suggests you get your tickets for the demo derby in advance.

On Friday is the return of the Llama Show presented by the 4H.  Holm said the weather looks like it will be very nice and she hopes to see everyone at the fair.

Tickets are $10 for general admission, kids under four are free.  The grandstand is $15. The Ogle County Fair Grounds are on Route 64 between Oregon and Mount Morris on Limekiln Road.
