The Lee County Highway Department would like to inform the public that Rock Island Road would be closed at the Union Pacific Railroad crossing beginning Monday, August 4th for necessary repairs to the railroad crossing.
The closure is expected to last approximately five days, weather permitting. A signed detour route will be in place to help motorists navigate around the closure safely.
Authorities ask all drivers to please follow posted signage and allow extra time for travel during this period. The Lee County Highway Department appreciates your patience and cooperation as they work to improve roadway safety and infrastructure.
