
ESPN has announced an expanding roster of athlete ambassadors for its youth sports initiative, Take Back Sports, aimed at encouraging kids to start and stick with playing sports.
Take Back Sports started on Monday, August 4th, ESPN will air a series of short segments across its platforms featuring the ambassadors including Lexi Rodriguez.
Rodriguez was a Sterling High School graduate in 2021 and four-time AVCA All-American libero for the University of Nebraska from 2021-2024. Rodriguez was also the winner of the prestigious AAU James E. Sullivan Award earlier this year. She’s currently playing professional volleyball in League One Volleyball for Omaha.
Rodriguez will be one of 19 athletes featured in this initiative. Some of the other athletes include: Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic, Derrick Henry, Francisco Lindor, Lamar Jackson, Payton Manning, Eli Manning, Jordan Speith and A’ja Wilson.
