On Tuesday night, August 12, Ogle County Deputies responded to the 3000 block of South Illinois Rt 2 in rural Oregon for a motorcycle versus deer crash.
Deputies made contact with the operator of the motorcycle, identified as 25-year-old Jerry W. Smith Jr of Oregon. Smith was transported to an area hospital for treatment of suspected minor injury by Oregon Ambulance.
Members of the Oregon Fire Department assisted Deputies at the scene.
