One of the Lee County Health Department mosquito samples (from Dixon) has tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV).
This is not a cause for alarm, as the department know that WNV is present in our area. However, it is a good time to remind residents to reduce your risk of mosquito bites.
The Health Department wants to remind you to use repellent, wear lightweight long pants and long sleeve shirts and regularly eliminate water that may accumulate.
