The Dixon Police Department regrets to inform the community that missing person, David Dykema, has been located deceased in Whiteside County.
Over the past several days, the Dixon Police Department, in coordination with the Dixon City Fire Department, Dixon Rural Fire Department, Sterling Fire Department, Rock Falls Fire Department, and the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, has conducted extensive search efforts in an attempt to locate Dykema. Tragically, those efforts concluded with the discovery of his body.
The investigation into this incident remains ongoing, pending the results of an autopsy.
