If you plan to go to Lowell Park in Dixon over the next couple of days, you will be limited in where you can go.
It was announced the Dixon Park District would be performing road repairs on the main road leading to the lower level of Lowell Park. Dixon Park District Executive Director Duane Long said he knows this would be a problem for some people; however, they tried to hold it off as long as they could.
The park district seal coated the roadways a few years ago. Long stated this is the time to go back through the roads and to repair the cracks and the like.
The upper portion of Lowell Park would remain open. Lowell said the pathways would remain open. The Hairpin road would also be closed during the two days.
