Sunday night, the sky above Dixon will light up with brilliant colors and sounds. For the 61st Dixon Petunia Festival, the final night sees the large fireworks display.
Vice President of Operations for the Dixon Petunia Festival Carrie Brechon says it takes a great deal of work to put the show on. She said she is amazed at the technology now the company uses.
She went on to say they worked with the company to choreograph and synchronize the music to go along with the fireworks. Downtown and along the riverfront, Brechon said it was best to view the show and hear the music.
She also said they have something special with a special voice introducing the show. The fireworks begin at 9:30.
