
Sunday afternoon, the streets of Dixon was filled with a few thousand spectators. It was time for the annual Petunia Festival Parade.
A few dozen businesses marched in the parade. Many with vehicles associated with the business. There were also organizations such as Sauk Valley Community Colleges Impact Program and the Dixon Park District part of the parade as well.
Many of the kids enjoyed the parade because several groups were tossing candy and other items into the crowd. The parade began at St, Mary’s School and worked its way to the Dixon High School Parking lot.
