With the temperatures reaching into the 90’s for the next couple of days, available if needed are several cooling locations.
In Dixon, there is the Dixon Library and the Lee County Council on Aging. Other libraries across Lee County are also being used as Cooling Centers. This would be the Paw Paw Public Library, Franklin Grove Public Library, Mills and Petrie Memorial Library and the Pank Hurst Memorial Library.
If you experience Heat Exhaustion, you need to loosen your cloths, get into a cool area and sip cold water. You would need to seek medical attention if the symptoms do not go away. If you experience Heat Stroke call 911.
