Dixon High School graduate and former Nebraska star and NBA Player Isaiah Roby is launching the first ever Hoops and Roots: The Roby and Boster Skills Camp at the Dixon Park District on Saturday, September 6th.
This basketball camp is open to kids in grades 3rd through 12th grade.
Isaiah Roby says, “This is my 4th camp. I did three camps in Lincoln Nebraska where I went to school. I’ve always had people asking me, ‘When you are going to do one in Dixon and the Sauk Valley Area’ and this summer works out perfectly where we can set this up.”
Roby’s elite trainer Zac Boster will partner with Roby for this camp. Boster trains NBA players, professional players, elite college and high school players in Chicago. Roby says, “Zac and I are going to teach some skills that the kids can take and hopefully make themselves better basketball players. This camp also gives them an opportunity to maybe meet some new friends. We are definitely going to challenge them and make it a good environment.”
Sauk Valley Community College Men’s Basketball Team will also help out with the camp throughout the day. T&D BBQ will be on-site serving food during the midday showcase.
The cost of the camp is only $35.00. Registration is limited. The camp is again on Saturday September 6th. To register for the camp, click here.
