On Tuesday evening , August 5, Ogle County Deputies responded to the entrance of 3747 W IL RTE 64 (Mt. Morris Estates) for a two vehicle accident.
After investigation, it was determined that a Dodge Caravan, operated by 38-year-old Rachel R. Ware of Mount Morris was traveling westbound on IL RTE 64 and attempting to make a left turn into the trailer park.
A Mitsubishi Lancer, operated by a 16-year-old male juvenile from Oregon, was traveling westbound behind the Caravan and failed to stop, striking the rear end of the Caravan.
Ware was transported to OSF St. Katharine for non-life threatening injuries. The 16-year-old juvenile was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed. Mount Morris EMS assisted deputies.
